Diplo, Blackberry anthropologist and Vanity Fair culture columnist, has composed his first printed tome, a hefty book entitled 128 Beats Per Minute: Diplo's Visual Guide to Music, Culture, and Everything in Between. The manual, driven by photographs from former Annie Leibowitz assistant Shane Mccauley, will be released this April by Universe Publishing, an imprint of "famed Italian purveyor of art tomes" Rizzoli New York. Alexander Wang, for whom Diplo has modeled, wrote the foreword.
Diplo appears on 128 BPM’s cover serenely shirtless and afloat. Covering seven years of the his travels, the book's chapters will be arranged by country and include playlists alongside play-by-play memoirs and commentary. You can preorder the title on Amazon for less than $20.
