It seems like an unusual alliance, but artists in the Bay Area have been collaborating with Akron, Ohio rappers like Ampichino for some time. That collaborative spirit charges Ampichino associate Gap’s "All We Know." On the track, Bay rapper The Jacka takes hook duties, alongside verses from Joe Blow and Akron artist Ren Fetti. The midwest is full of talented artists who are just beginning to introduce themselves to the rest of the world online. Gap, whose output is discussed in more detail here, has the advantage of working with West Coast artists who've had an internet presence for much longer. A few guys from the Bay, including Joe Blow, even flew out to Akron this past Saturday to celebrate Gap's latest release, I Am How I Rap. "All We Know" stands out on that record, thanks to Jack's hook and staggered synth-horns that sound built for rapper royalty, no matter what the city or state they're from.
