The Roots teamed up with director Clifton Bell to create a nine-minute short film for their incredible concept album Undun, which chronicles the life (and death) of fictional character Redford Stevens. Bell uses tracks "Tip the Scale," "Stomp," "Make My" and "Sleep" to narrate Stevens' enigmatic predicament; in some ways he's a victim, in others, a perpetrator. By the end, you're not really sure who's shot and who did the shooting, but I think that's the point. Under a black hoodie, he is faceless, impossible to identify and inevitably a statistic. Check out our By The Numbers breakdown of the album and watch the mini-movie, above.
