Suno’s Guilt-Free Sneakers

December 09, 2011

One time, for Christmas, I bought my mom the adoption rights to a baby elephant in Kenya to protect it from encroachment. She cried! But if I had known that I could've performed the very same service and gotten a pair of sparkly shoes thrown in, frankly, I would have been better off. The soles of Suno’s first-ever shoes are made out of recycled rubber and all proceeds go towards a wildlife fund to protect baby elephants. Plus, a large part of Suno's mission is to generate textile jobs in Kenya. And, they're guilt-free in one other very important way: at only $65, compared to Suno's normal sky-high prices, your buyer's remorse will be positively nonexistent. Great for the world, great for you. Head over to Suno's web site to buy a pair of their new shoes, and if you have some cash left over and would still like to adopt your own elephant, check out the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
