The aggravating/awesome/compelling Gonjasufi will soon release MU.ZZ.LE on Warp Records. It's his official followup to last year's A Sufi and a Killer, but it's also pretty concise and brief. That's saying something, too. Gonjasufi's entire career seems to be dedicated to wild genre-hopping and bizarre ideas boiled down into individual songs. On "Nikels and Dimes" he croaks out his verses over what sounds like a broken music box. Is this what happens when you take a lot of psychedelics and wander around LA in a sweat-soaked, smoggy haze for years?
