South London's Alpines have teamed with beloved house-minded producer Maya Jane Coles for a little-bit-darker take on Carly Simon's enduring "Why," a seemingly untouchable track that has now been covered wonderfully twice this season by people probably not born when it was first released. It's a great update, both faithful in spirit and forward in sound.
