"I Can't," a ballad about being wronged by your girl, was recorded on the same night as "Bussin," the remarkably aggressive Trouble released after leaving prison late last year. But "I Can't" was held from Trouble's post-pen December 17th mixtape and saved for September's weirder Green Light. Across both releases, Trouble displays mesmerizing self-possession. He seems like he's spent a lifetime terrorizing people and, at this point, has very little to be insecure about. That confidence allows him a magnetic emotional freedom—the straightforward tears in the video for "I Can't" are well shed. Trouble should be in movies! For now, he'll release a mixtape before year's end, and another street album next year.
