"I ain't had a cypher in a hundred thousand years! Niggas act like they don't like rapping anymore!" Thanks to the BET Awards, rap cyphers are back in style. At least for a few days. While The Great Man Mannie mans the MPC in an Angry Birds T-shirt, Juvenile briefly and barely tries to rap past a mumble (he never seemed like the freestyler type). UTP's Skip and Mannie signee The Show dip their toes in as well but the perpetual ball of energy that is Mystikal comes through and just crushes everything in his path, hogging the proverbial mic (though obviously his shout needs no such thing) and explicitly addressing his sexual assault charge and subsequent arrest. ("I'm innocent!") He moves and raps so quickly that even getting a half decent screen grab was a nearly impossible task.
As you can see, Mystikal and Mannie have been recording together. There is a realistic likelihood that the music that comes from these sessions will be the greatest thing to ever happen.
