Joker is not even that old, so his back in the day is probably very different than what we think of when we think of that term. Like, back in the day Joker was probably on the internet, whereas back in the day our parents were living in a world that was literally black and white, technology wasn't even a word and everyone wore hats (just kidding but what if). Anyway, here's "Back in the Days" a song produced by Joker which features a bunch of dudes on vocal duty. It's not not what we were expecting from a Joker full length when we first heard his Zapp and Roger by way of a gif of a dude driving down a highway in a red convertible in an LA brand of futuristic, modified g-funk, but it's also not exactly what we were expecting either. Here he curbs his tendencies for huge, sweeping synths—instead fading into the background to let everyone else do their thing. His debut LP, The Vision, is out November 8th on 4AD.
