Leave it to DaVinci to make a raw song about cooking crack into a warm, personal meditation on working to live. The key here is his voice, which is an unremarkable rasp. We mean that in the best sense though—he has a point and an emotional thrust behind that point, and he is very good at being direct. It's hard to pull off this kind of rapping without coming off as boring, but if you're talented enough, it's pretty enviable.
