Working in her Brooklyn studio, jewelry designer Erin Considine looks a little like an alchemist or an amateur chef, stirring colorful stews in some well-loved crockery over hot plates. For her first full collection Immrama, named for a series of old Irish folk tales, Considine mixes hand-dyed fibers fastened to deco-inspired recycled brass pendants, creating a jewelry collection that is as whimsical as it is conscientious. Considine talked to us about her design inspiration, process and ethics, while cooking up some eye candy.
