Inspiration for ACNE's 2012 resort collection, their first presentation in NYC, brought about the mashing up of a few different ladies. Sifting through the looks we picked up on a 1950s ladylike secretary in the tailored yet crinkly sheathes, cumbersome eye-wear and prim blouses. This lady was then met with a grungy gal, as evidenced by ratty denim under floral dresses and elongated motorcycle jackets. We're not quite sure who the lady rocking the restrictive stitched-in cape is, but happy nonetheless that she was thrown in the mix. Jewel tones of turquoise and amber where piled on top of pale prints highlighting the juxtapositions. You can call her conceptually confused or say she's hanging out in the wrong era but we're digging ACNE's pieced-together lady in all her parts.
