Yesterday we announced that this year's annual Icon issue will feature Notorious BIG. It was an enormous project, and we hope we've created a compelling portrait of Big's talent and legacy. His work means a great deal to a lot of folks, and, in many ways, his image has become larger-than-life. We chose two portraits of Big for the front and back covers of the issue, on newsstands May 3rd. The front cover features Colin Hawkins' 1996 photograph of Big in Rotterdam, and captures his charming, whole-hearted smile. For the back cover, we commissioned a woodcut portrait by legendary designer/illustrator Seymour Chwast. Now we'd like to give everyone the opportunity to celebrate Big's life. How do you see Big? How would you like to commemorate him on the cover of FADER? Grab the blank canvas below and go at it—drawing, painting, photoshop, whatever you like. Then, post your cover image to our Facebook wall. We'll collect entries in an album, then announce our favorites on Friday, May 13th, and share them here on TheFADER.com. Winners will receive a FADER subscription and large poster prints of both (!) FADER #73 covers.
