From now on, any time we need a song for the moments when we put on a pastel blazer and stand on a balcony in Miami looking at dolphins jumping over jetskis and thinking about life, we're going to call CFCF. He's perfected a twilight introspection that sits somewhere between legitimately heartbreaking and sleazily smooth in a way that makes us feel like we need to go to the boat store, buy a speed boat, get the speed boat in the sea and then cry in the middle of the bluest water, neon signs twinkling in the distance. But then, part of the reason he's able to pull stuff like this off is he chooses to remix people that start with that vibe a little bit initially. All of Young Galaxy's Cover Your Tracks remix EP features songs that sound like they're playing in the background of a Club Med party, and we'll just say there are a lot worse things to think about while you're listening to (free) music. Young Galaxy's album Shapeshifting is out right now on Paper Bag records and they're touring for most of March. Those dates after the jump. If that's not enough CFCF for you—and how could it be?—he also recently finished a mix for Oki-ni which features a bunch of unheard stuff from the man himself as well as tracks from David Sylvian and How to Dress Well among others.
