It’s funny listening to Celebration again without the Nyquil-dream “electric tarot” collage vids. While it’s minorly exciting watching the MP3 progress bar slide toward the minute-long cricket-and-tambourine finale, wondering what that sound-tube is going be like, staring at the stream isn’t an eighth as mind-expanding. But you focus a little more: that wheat thresher glide as the song begins, the way the bass holds off for the first 45 seconds, Katrina Ford’s final escalating “ooh,” dragging the band higher until they collapse in exhaustion, possibly in field. "Kilamanjaro" is the final digital release from the band's new Hello Paradise LP, which goes out on vinyl today.
