We compared James Blake to D'Angelo when he appeared in a white house-shirt in the video for "Limit To Your Love." The resemblance is even weirder in "The Wilhelm Scream"— Blake stands face-front to the camera like D in "Untitled (How Does It Feel)" (SIGH), except he's not popping out from a staunch black ground or being teased by a hungry camera. Rather, his hair has grown and it's kind of tatty. It looks as if he's worn his duffel coat inside of a steam room. A wash of blue/green/red bleeds and obscures him from the shoulders up and we wait for a moment of focus to see if he is smirking at all like he was when karaoke-ing Feist, or just miserable being made to stand there. For a moment there's someone else, a long-hair, we're going to presume it's a woman who's beloved. Voodoo is still for sale! James Blake's album is legitimate next week.
