Following a heap of messy state and federal charges stemming from missed tax returns, sexual battery against his hairdresser and some extortion too, Mystikal got locked up at Elayn Hunt Correctional Center in 2006, stayed there till January of this year. We've been sitting on this song— the first we've heard since his release— for a couple of days, trying to figure out what it's about but not getting too far beyond its relaxed tempo big booty drums. Now a close listen reveals sounds of a small dog, proper NO horn squeel and Mystikal fallen back into domestic terror with his junior jumping out her like a frog out of control, breaking lamps. The most important narrative device here is actually Mystikal rapping in the voice of his rooster, which sounds like the smallest of the Monstars in Space Jam, before they get all jacked. MOREOVER, to see and not just hear Mystikal psyched to not be in jail, please do not deny yourself some time with this video of him hanging out in a parked (very nice) car while its raining with Mannie Fresh earlier this year.
