Dre's "Kush" doesn't actually feel like a weeded song to us. It's more like a sound-replica of the moment when a couple folks are together and about to get high so they're all built out and excited on the idea that they've agreed to demonstrate their collective ability to do what they want to do. The high from the idea is just about as good as the real thing. But "Lite 1 Witcha Boi" is a proper main event for that elusive pre-game feeling. One for when the deed's been done and the Xbox menu is looping on repeat, making muffled, encouraging keyboard sounds and you're clothes and pockets are so stinky that you've got to decide with confidence that looking-high-is-looking fly and have faith your boy will back you up on that. Do you think Bun B keeps manicure scissors in his "bag of tricks" to handle that glue-y Rx dro and what it does to his cuticles?
