Photographer and FADER contributor Michael Schmelling just released Atlanta: Hip-Hop and the South, a photo book that covers pretty much exactly what the title says. You're not gonna find many images of super-known dudes (although some are there), instead it's an expansive overview of Schmelling's personal vision of young Atlanta. If the massive spread we published in FADER #70 somehow didn't win you over, you can listen to Schmelling, as well as the New Yorker's Kelefa Sanneh (who wrote the intro to the book), talk in a relaxed way about how it all came about on WNYC's Soundcheck show.
