Silk Flowers has changed a few things around for their new single, adding some sweeter, staccato-synth milk to the super heavy black coffee that is their sound, but one thing that has stayed exactly the same is vocalist Aviram Cohen's insane deadpan. "Band of Color" is from their forthcoming album Ltd. Form, and the band seems to have lightened their load a bit with some twinkly, crystallized sounds that seem more half-glass-full than previous moody fare, but Cohen's flat demeanor keeps a vice grip clench on their songs and just won't quit, like that robot from Terminator 2 who's trying to kill everyone and won't die, except we're into Cohen and scared of that robot.
