One day Danger Mouse will just score James Bond movies and David Lynch iPhone twitvids instead of producing pop songs, but for now, he's still perfecting his cinematic stylings with a new collaboration with frequent collaborator, and Italian guy, Daniele Luppi. Mouse and Luppi apparently share a deep passion for ’60s Italian soundtracks and, for Rome, a project due in March 2011, recruited a host of grey-haired musicians who once recorded under Ennio Morricone for such Sergio Leone films as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West. They also got Jack White and Norah Jones. You can hear all of them on samples ripped from Friday's NPR session with the two can be heard on the internet while you fantasize about videos starring Monica Bellucci and Eli Wallach.
