LV recently released their single "Boomslang" ("tree snake" in Afrikaans) featuring South African MC Okmalumkoolkat. Fact tells us member of the group Gervase is in fact a South Africa native who recently took a trip back, so the heavy influence of that country's wildly popular raw house music kwaito is featured heavily on this mix (as is "Boomslang" itself). They also stay true to their UK home's national obsession with dubstep, as they are, after all, Hyperdub artists. But they venture, praise the mix gods, over to Houston and run through some of "Still Tippin," the incredible Swisha House all-star jam circa 2004 that inexplicably made Mike Jones popular. If they could have found a way to put, like, Girls (the band) and Black Flag on this mix, Schnipper pretty much would have died.
