A Four-Second Clip of the New James Blake Reduced Us to Tears

September 16, 2010

Not to get all NME on you but HOLY FUCKING SHIT JAMES BLAKE YOU ARE THE BEST AND NOW WE ARE WEEPING INTO OUR ENERGY DRINK. Fact pointed out that there are short clips from some new Blake songs streaming over at Juno in advance of his Klavierwerke EP, out October 10, so obviously our little obsesso clicking fingers raced to the spot immediately. It's probably for the best that we can't listen to all of it at once—when we hear his music we feel like Icarus, dying to get closer but scared from the heat. Seriously, when the ghostly sample from "Tell Me Safe" clicks in, just try to convince us you don't feel like you're drowning in woozy romance. Shit is blindingly great, not "future dubstep" or whatever but just wildly skillful composition, and Blake never repeats the same concept twice (though to be frank we would have been cool with 25 more years of CMYK). Read our Gen F on dude in F69, and stream Klavierwerke snippets now!
