We've now watched it twice and that might be it. The song is good, and the video's directors, Elisha Smith-Leverock and Chris Murdoch, clearly put a lot of thought and effort into creating its visual component, but even though recent times have seen the proliferation of nonsensical appropriation of found footage as an inexpensive replacement for or artistic alternative to newly-produced videos, that is no reason to throw caution to the wind when the budget jumps slightly. It doesn't have to be a direct correlation but this song sounds like Wham! on a lazy afternoon. Can't these ladies be playing volleyball or something? Or are we just cranky? Probably the latter.
