Kid's Wear is a magazine that takes an unusually adult approach to child's play, using grown-up fashion photographers to capture children in the latest junior styles. It's the size of a phonebook, too, a heavy journal filled with photographers like Bruce Weber, Nan Goldin and Ryan McGinley, who've toned down the edge that characterizes their work but haven't abandoned their signature flourishes entirely. Weber especially succeeds, applying his brand of youthful Americana to a spread about kids dressing up for Sunday church, perfectly nostalgic in black & white. Maybe the children have something to teach the grown-ups: it's some of the best fashion photography we've seen this season. Images after the jump.
