Okay, just proof that they are a great dad rock band. But our opinions strongly ping on the of all time part. After we posted our hypothesis about the audience we think belongs to Band of Horses, a friend who had bought the new Band of Horses album for his dad sent along this email. This was unprompted because, of course, our friend's dad doesn't read TheFADER.com.
Bruce (not his real name),
I absolutely love Band of Horses. When I "shuffle" songs, I will hear the beginning of a song that I love and may not immediately recognize -- then I realize it's Band of Horses. I'm listening to all of their songs now. I'm about to go for a walk and I will listen to them again. Thanks.
("Dilly" is the perfect song for me to walk to -- just the right rhythm; as I'm getting to the end of my walk and trying to push it to the end, I'll put on "Dilly" and just try to walk to that pace).
