It's possible we mentioned this before, but a year and a half ago, on a trip to some remote southern Baja beaches, in a very small rented car, driving on a sketchy two lane highway with the windows down, we bumped School of Seven Bells' first album, Alpinisms. In all our years of listening, there's hardly been a more appropriate coupling of setting and soundtrack. Disconnect From Desire would similarly work just fine hugging S-curves on crumbly roads with ocean views. The howling in the beginning of "Babelonia" is the exact sound the tiny car made climbing up a medium mountain. If you're not on vacation, though, Disconnect still sounds good on headphones.
