As Nas explains on the beginning of his take on "Hey Young World," he copped the idea for "The World is Yours" from this track, both paying homage to Slick Rick and reintroducing an empowering idea to a different generation. So of course it made sense that, when approached by Levi's Pioneer Sessions to cover anything he wanted to, this was the one he chose. The song is downloadable for free over here, but we happened to get our hands on a limited edition, super-rare test pressing of the track on 7-inch vinyl to give away.
