Up until right now, Kurt Vile's music was mostly pretty dense and turned inward. Sometimes when Vile sings you can barely hear a word he's saying, and even that is surrounded by layered swirls of guitar. "Invisiblity: Nonexistent" is from the Square Shells EP out on Matador on May 25th. It sounds more open and expansive, Vile's voice high in the mix and paired with breezy guitar solos. We're all for the tossed-off song sketch vibe, but this might benefit from some legit drums and a couple full-band appearances on a massive stadium stage. Still awesome though!
