The soundtrack to the White Stripes documentary of their enormously lengthy 2007 Canadian tour, Under the Great White Northern Lights, won't be released until next Tuesday, but NPR has a full stream of the album before then. It starts with some serious bagpipes. Then it kicks into some shredding, as happily expected. "Icky Thump" sounds super heavy. In hard luck times, at least Detroit will always have Jack and Meg. Fitting that the first couple would be divorced.
