J. Sabatino Fall 2010

February 19, 2010

Too many labels have said they're inspired by New York, but how often do we see it reflected in the clothes? J. Sabatino spoke the truth, though, when the designer made claims to the city for it's Fall 2010 collection at NYFW. Every outfit is a little tribute to eccentricity, straight out of a fantasy of what Soho was like thirty years ago. The looks have the unique, thrown-together quality of something pulled from a thrift store, and not even an expensive one, which is not an easy thing to pull off. That authenticity in J. Sabatino comes from, perhaps, the extra wide, casual pants or the oversized, tough jacket. Whatever the equation is, it all comes together with little contemporary flourishes like a pair of smart sunglasses and a lean blazer. (via Fashionisto). More images after the jump.
