More stellar, anxious remixes from the sideways pair of Finns Renaissance Man. This time they've linked with Brazilian producer Chernobyl to rework his "Balança." Imagine Chernobyl's original has 20 parts, all fingers and toes. He cuts them off and gives them to Renaissance Man to reattach. They put them all back, sew up fine, but everything is all jumbled, toes on the hand, fingers on the feet, lefts on rights. Chernobyl is like "Hey, thanks for the surgery," but he doesn't know if he means it. He should. Listen to the way they blunted the horn. The clear aural components have been scrabbled, like phone lines crossed. But still there is a steady back beat. Renaissance Man is interested in that point when you're falling, just before you hit the ground. You're still safe there, but something painful's around the bend.
