Aussie quartet the Van She totally just glow-fied all over yo face! OOH PAUSE! Nah we don't really make it a habit of saying shit like glow-fi but this cover of the Blue Oyster Cult's classic "Don't Fear the Reaper" is all about gossamer, luminescent synths and the inherent listless hope of the whole Shakespearean double suicide thing going down in the lyrics. This song has always had max melancholy power, but something about this update's echo vocals and simplicity kinda feels like a dagger (no Skerrit) straight to the heart. Maybe cause they sound mad young and doe-eyed, too innocent to deal with, you know, warring families and death pacts and whatnot.
