All the comparisons to Animal Collective that Pterodactyl is getting most likely come from their ability to shape every yelp into the happiest sound in the world. Other than that they're heavier and more prone to tight, ecstatic bursts as opposed to AC's expansive mid-afternoon bliss. Pterodactyl should probably play a shitload of all-ages shows because if we'd had this band back in the days when after school meant doing absolutely nothing, "First Daze" would've been our song.
