Recently we were weeping over the lack of M.O.P. in our lives while listening to "Ante Up" with all the lights off and lavender incense burning... much like Prodigy in that crazy video but more booze, and also a backpack. Then 1982, the group consisting of Statik Selektah and Termanology, had the wherewithal to enlist Lil Fame for "Thugathon" (YES!), a scratchy banger that is pure, unadulterated BK jamma, throwbacky (Joe Pesci references!?!) but not corny or nostalgic. We are going to throw a Thugathon in their honor, which is something like the NYC Marathon but less Capri Suns.
