We know that Summer is coming because shows are happening and we want to go to them because it's not two degrees outside. While next week is ultra crazy (stay tuned to thefader.com to see why), there is plenty to get you going this weekend in preparation. Tonight in the middle of nowhere (but that shouldn't stop you) is Abe Vigoda and Woods along with Vivian Girls at The Silent Barn. Perpetual FADER favorites Hypnotic Brass Band are playing at Joe's Pub on Sunday which will be a nice change of pace from their usual spot on the Union Square subway platform. Also this weekend, our guilty pleasures The Teenagers are playing nine million shows including Saturday (Music Hall of Williamsburg), and Sunday at AN AMERICAN APPAREL. Way to just go for it dudes! Okay so maybe that's only two, but Erol Alkan will also be jamming at Studio B on Sunday. Also though dudes check this out: Cakeshop is celebrating their three year anniversary with Barghest, Virgin Forest, Jana Hunter, White Hinterland, Woods, Air Waves, Land of Tomorrow, Pepi Ginsberg, Soft Black, Matt Gangi, The Electric Tickle Machine, Freddie and The Jasons, Moonmen On The Moon, Man, Holy Hail, Special Guests, Oakley Hall, caUSE co-MOTION!, Soiled Matress and the Springs, Vivian Girls, New Bloods, Crystal Stilts, Famous Amos (ex-Tralala) and Astrid Pierce. That is on Saturday and we don't know who most of those bands are—but the ones we do know, we like. It's also only three dollars.
