Ed Sheeran had just about the experience you’d expect after smoking a blunt with Snoop Dogg, saying during a recent appearance on Conan O’Brien’s podcast that the session temporarily inhibited his ability to see things.
After catching a Snoop Dogg show in Melbourne, Sheeran and his wife met up with the rapper backstage (he was hooked up by none other than Russell Crowe, who Sheeran says is a “close friend” of Snoop’s). “I don’t really smoke at all,” Sheeran says. “I was in the dressing room and they’re just [smoking] like blunt for blunt for blunt for blunt.”
Eventually, the temptation of a good story became too much for Ed to resist. “I was like, I guess at some point during the night, I have to, just to say I smoked with Snoop Dogg… So I have a bit and I was like, ‘I don’t feel too bad, this is good.’ Then I have a bit more, and then I have a bit more, and then I have a bit more… I just remember looking at him and being like, ‘I can’t see right now.’”
Conan follows up with his own Snoop story, recounting when Snoop was the musical guest on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Apparently, the amount of weed Snoop and his entourage smoked was so copious that it ended up leaking into the studio where the show is filmed and getting some members of the audience stoned.
