Mike Conley says he got a late night call from Kanye West over the summer

For many NBA teams, this offseason has been tumultuous with rapidly changing rosters. The Grizzlies have retained much of their team, but one of their stars did get a surprising phone call over the summer.

At media day on Tuesday, star guard Mike Conley told reporters that he received a late night phone call from Kanye West. "'I just wanna let you know I admire you, I really like what you do, I hate to see you're underrated," Conley said, recalling what Kanye said to him. "He actually watches me play — that's what I was thinking in my head."
