Earlier this week, Sinéad O’Connor randomly posted a video on Facebook to address her mental health issues. In the video, the singer-songwriter makes a chilling confession about "fighting to stay alive." Fiona Apple recently shared a video to publicly express her support and concern for O'Connor.

“I want you to know that you are my hero,” said Apple. “I just saw the video of you and I don’t want you to feel like that. I don’t want you to feel like that. You’ve given so much. And I wish I could be there. I wish I could be of some use to you. I’m your friend—that’s all I want to say—and you’re my hero.”

Police have reportedly conducted a welfare check on the singer-songwriter at her Travelodge motel in South Hackensack, New Jersey. Shortly after O'Connor posted the video, an unknown person released a statement on her behalf that she is "not suicidal."
