Super Bowl LX will take place in Santa Clara, California on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Bad Bunny's appearance is his only scheduled show in the United States for the forseeable future. In a recent interview he spoke about how concerns over ICE and Trump's immigration policy have meant he has avoided performing in the country in recent times.

In a statement shared after his Super Bowl performance was confirmed, Bad Bunny said: “What I'm feeling goes beyond myself. It's for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el halftime show del Super Bowl.”

In a statement to Variety, Jay-Z added, “What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring.” Roc Nation has partnered with the NFL in producing the Super Bowl halftime show since 2019.

Bad Bunny's latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, was released in January. His upcoming world tour in support of the album begins in November and will run into the following summer. In addition to music, Bad Bunny was also seen in this summer's Caught Stealing alongside Austin Butler and Zoë Kravitz.
