Tame Impala share “Loser,” reveal new album details
Stranger Things actor Joe Keery is fresh out of luck in the accompanying visuals.
Tame Impala have revealed a new song titled "Loser" alongside a video featuring an appearance by Stranger Things and Pavements actor Joe Keery. Scroll down to watch the visuals now.
The "Loser" video finds Keery, who also makes music as Djo, as a down on his luck character. In keeping with Kevin Parker's song lyrics ("I'm a tragedy, Tryin' to figure this whole mess out"), Keery argues with his partner and draws a blank on a lottery ticket. Parker also appears in th video, briefly morphing into the Keery's role before disappearing again.
"Loser" is the second new Tame Impala release in the last few months and follows “End of Summer,” which dropped in July. Both songs will appear on the new Tame Impala album Deadbeat, due out on October 17 via Columbia. Per a press release, Deadbeat “is deeply inspired by bush doof culture and the Western Australia rave scene.” The band's last album, The Slow Rush, was released in 2020.
