All the artists performing at the 2025 VMAs
It’ll be a pop and TikTok kinda night.
LATEST: Five new names added to the VMAs bill
MTV have announced a raft of new names set to perform at the VMAs next month, starting with Doja Cat. She will appear on stage at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York on November 7 to perform her new song "Jealous Type." Her new album, Vie, is due a few weeks after the ceremony takes place.
Joining Doja Cat on the bill is Jelly Roll, who is nominated in four categories including Best Alternative, Best Country and Best Hip-Hop, as well as fellow country-pop-rap genre jumper Post Malone.
Conan Gray will also be on stage to perform "Vodka Cranberry," a highlight from his recently released new album Wishbone. Finally, Tate McRae will bring her tightly choreograhed live show to the VMAs. She is nominated for two awards on the night; Song of the Year (“Sports car”) and Best Pop Artist.

The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, hosted by LL COOL J, will feature performances by Sabrina Carpenter, J Balvin, Sombr, Alex Warren, and more. The show will be at 8 p.m. EST on Sunday, September 7. And for the first time ever, this year the show will be streamed live on CBS as well as on MTV.
Busta Rhymes and Ricky Martin are also expected to receive honors this year. Rhymes will be awarded the Rock the Bells Visionary Award, while Martin will receive the Latin Icon Award.
Carpenter who’s nominated for eight awards this year, including video of the year for “Manchild,” the single from her upcoming album Man’s Best Friend, will mark her second time performing on the VMAs stage. At last year’s show, she performed a medley of “Espresso,” “Please Please Please,” and “Taste.”
Breakout Tiktok stars Alex Warren and Sombr will also take to the stage to make their VMAs debut. Both singers are nominated for best new artist; Warren’s “Ordinary” is also in the running for best pop and song of the year, while Sombr’s “Back to Friends” has been nominated for best alternative.
J Balvin and producer DJ Snake will share their song “Noventa” with a live audience for the first time. The Latin music star will also perform the new hit “Zun Zun” with Justin Quiles and Lenny Tavárez. More performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
With 12 nominations, Lady Gaga is the artist with the most this year. Her recent collaborator Bruno Mars has 11, while Kendrick Lamar has 10 and ROSÉ and Sabrina Carpenter have 8.
