Aphex Twin drops surprise album Music From The Merch Desk
The 38-track album features music sold physically between 2016-2023.
Aphex Twin has revealed a new compilation album of music only available in physical formats over the past seven years. The 38-track Music From The Merch Desk (2016-2023) is streaming now via Warp Records. Check it out below.
The music on Music From The Merch Desk was previously only available via one-off vinyl releases available at Aphex Twin shows. The track titles reflect the locations they were sold out, with London, Houston, and Barcelona among the cities mentioned.
Music From The Merch Desk follows Aphex Twin's Blackbox Life Recorder 21f / in a room7 F760 EP. That project, released in 2023, marked his first new music in five years. The last Aphex Twin album, Syro, was released a decade ago.
This October Warp marked the 30th anniversary of Aphex Twin's 1992 classic debut Selected Ambient Works with a reissue including two additional tracks.
