Fred again.. and Baby Keem connect on “leavemealone”
The U.K. producer’s latest effort is built on samples of two old Keem tracks.
Fred again.. has dropped a new track titled "leavemealone." The song is billed as a collaboration with Baby Keem but, like all of the U.K. producer's work, is built around inventive use of sampling. In this case it is Keem's songs "South Africa" and "Bullies" that are cut and spliced into the production. Check uit out below.
"leavemealone" follows Fredagain..'s recent singles "ten" (with Jozzy) and "adore u" (with Obongjayar). In addition to sharing solo material, 2023 has also been a year of working with others for Fred, who headlined Coachella alongside Four Tet and Skrillex in April before going on to release an ambient album with his mentor Brian Eno the following month.
Baby Keem, meanwhile, shared "The Hillbillies" with Kendrick Lamar in May. Earlier this week The Melodic Blue , a filmed companion piece to his 2022 album of the same name, debuted on Amazon Prime Video.
