Weyes Blood shares “God Turn Me Into a Flower” video directed by Adam Curtis

When Weyes Blood released And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow last year, Natalie Mering spoke about her friendship with documentarian Adam Curtis, director of films including HyperNormalisation and The Century of the Self. She revealed that they had first met during a trip to London that coincided with the Queen Elizabeth's funeral. He has provided visuals for her recent live shows and now comes a video directed by Curtis for "God Turn Me Into A Flower."

Anyone who has seen a Curtis doc before will be familiar with the style, essentially a collage of archival footage chopped up into something hypnotic and evocative. There's no voice-over, sadly, but it's unmistakably a Curtis work.

And In The Darkness, Hearts Aglow was released in November 2022. Later this month Weyes Blood will tour Europe with Vagabon, Ichika Aoba, and Núria Graham. See below for dates.
