Mannequin Pussy announce new album, share "I Don’t Know You” video
I Got Heaven is due out next year.
Mannequin Pussy have confirmed details of their new album. I Got Heaven will be released on March 1 via Epitaph Records and was produced by John Congleton. A video for the band's new single "I Don’t Know You," in which the band perform surrounded by bails of hay in a barn, can be seen below.
In a statement, the band's Marisa Dabice said "I Don't Know You" is "simply a song about having a crush. About the excitement and playful fantasy that can come from meeting someone unexpectedly at a festival, or on the street, or in line at the grocery store. You don’t know when you’ll see them again but the rush of their possibility lingers, making you yearn to know more about them."
The new album announcement follows the release "I Got Heaven" in August. The new album will be the Philadelphia group's fourth and their first full-length since 2019's Patience. An EP, Perfect, was released in 2021.
Earlier this year Mannequin Pussy launched their own label, Romantic, and reissued their 2016 album of the same name. Romantic was originally released on Tiny Engines but the band was able to buy back their master recordings after the North Carolina–based indie label went on hiatus in 2019.
