Fever Ray announces North American tour dates, shares “North” video
Karin Dreijer will be on the road later this year.
Fever Ray's Radical Romantics is undeniably one of the stand-out albums of 2023. On their third studio project, Karin Dreijer is more open and reflective than ever before while still managing to challenge expectations at every turn. Speaking on The FADER Interview podcast about their new music, Dreijer said the title is not to be taken too literally, explaining, "It has more to do with how to exist as a human being and how to exist as a queer person to find a space where you can feel free."
There's good news today for those who have had Radical Romantics on repeat this year. Fever Ray will be touring later this year, with a run of headline shows across North America confirmed today. Dreijer will kick off the "There's No Place I'd Rather Be" tour on November 5 in Austin with shows in Los Angeles, Denver, Portland, Seattle, and Mexico City to follow. All of the dates are listed below and tickets are on sale from August 11 at 10 am local
In addition to the tour announcement, a video for Radical Romantics song "North" has dropped today. The track was co-produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (whose work is currently heard on the score to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem). Dreijer wouldn't hang out in a sewer, though, opting instead for the Swedish tundra. Check that out below.
