Kid Cudi says Playboi Carti “won’t clear” unreleased track “Solo Dolo Pt. 4”
“He wont clear it which is very weak.”
Kid Cudi hosted one of his regular fan Q&A sessions on Twitter yesterday (May 14) to discuss the status of his forthcoming ninth studio album. In response to one tweet referencing “Solo Dolo Pt 4,” an unreleased track featuring Playboi Carti that Cudi has performed at recent concerts, Cudi said that Playboi Carti’s refusal to clear his appearance means the track won’t be included on his project.
“He wont clear it which is very weak,” Cudi wrote. “So yea it wont be on there.” The FADER has reached out to representatives for Playboi Carti and Kid Cudi for more information. Cudi and Carti last collaborated on “M3tamorphosis,” a song from Carti’s 2021 album Whole Lotta Red.
In the same Q&A, Cudi confirmed that both Travis Scott and Young Thug would guest on the album, which could be his last ever. Entergalactic, Cudi's most recent LP, was released in September 2022 along with a Netflix series of the same name.
