Post Malone assures concerned fans he’s not on drugs, is just a dad now
He has says he has “never felt healthier... I guess dad life kicked in and I decided to kick soda.”
Not long after Ariana Grande asked fans to politely stop talking about the way she looks, Post Malone has followed suit. The "Sunflower" singer has dropped a little weight in recent months, leading some online spectators to suggest he is not doing so well health-wise. This began earlier in the year when he was touring Australia and has continued despite an initial denial at the time.
On Thursday Post dropped a new selfie on Instagram and acknowledged that he does look a little different currently but credited it to two positive changes in his life: kicking the fizzy drinks and welcoming a child into the world.
"I wanted to say that i’m not doing drugs, i’ve had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and i’d suppose, performance on stage," he wrote. "i’m having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier. i guess dad life kicked in and i decided to kick soda, and start eating better so i can be around for a long time for this little angel. next up is smokes and brews, but i like to consider myself a patient man… lol!"
He went on to add: "My brain is in a super dope place, and i’m the happiest i’ve been in a long time. if you’re having a hard time or need some love, i can say that you’re loved more than you know, and keep fucking crushing it."
Post Malone confirmed he had become a father in July 2022, telling Howard Stern that his partner had given birth to a baby daughter. He recently shared new song "Chemical," his first new material of the year so far. Last year he released his latest album, Twelve Carat Toothache.
