Portrayal of Guilt share new album Devil Music
The Texas noise-metal band’s latest LP comes with an accompanying short film.
Portrayal of Guilt, the Austin-based band who explored hardcore and black metal on great albums like We Are Always Alone and last year's Christfucker, are pushing their already expansive sound even further on their new album Devil Music, out today.
The new project is split in two: Side A is five songs in the traditional Portrayal of Guilt mode, while Side B reimagines those songs into pagan ritual orchestra versions. That latter half has been translated into a short film, directed by Emmanuella Zachariou and inspired by classic early 20th-century horror films like Haxan. Check it out below, followed by streams of Devil Music and the band's upcoming tour dates.
